This Privacy Policy describes how Dialed (“Dialed,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use the Dialed mobile application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
The core Dialed experience runs on your device: your goals, focus sessions, settings, and progress are stored locally on your iPhone and the App works without an account. If you choose to create an account — to use friends, leaderboards, and squads — some of that information is also synced to our backend so those social features can work. You can delete your account and its data at any time from inside the App (Settings → Delete account). This policy explains what we collect, who processes it, and the choices you have.
The App stores the following locally on your device using iOS storage (MMKV and SQLite), whether or not you have an account:
On-device data is removed when you delete the App from your device, or when you use “Wipe all data” in Settings.
Accounts are optional. You can use the focus and lock-in features without one. If you create an account, you can sign in with your email address, with Sign in with Apple, or with Sign in with Google. When you sign in we collect and store, on our backend:
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may offer to hide your email address with its private relay; we receive only the relay address in that case. Apple shares your name only on the first sign-in.
When you are signed in, the following user content is synced to your account so that your progress and social features work across the App:
If you use friends, leaderboards, or squads, some of your account information becomes visible to other users, as you direct:
You control these connections: you can decline or remove friends, leave squads, and toggle your leaderboard visibility at any time in the App.
Dialed offers subscriptions processed through Apple’s App Store. Subscription presentation and entitlement management are handled by Superwall, Inc. (“Superwall”).
If you grant notification permission, the App may send you local notifications and, if applicable, push notifications. Apple Push Notification service may process a device token to deliver pushes. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
We use a small number of third-party service providers (sub-processors) to run the App. They process data only to provide their service to us:
Dialed does not include third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We do not track you across apps or websites operated by other companies, and the App does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or browsing history.
We use the information described above to:
You can permanently delete your account from within the App at any time: go to Settings → Delete account and confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your account and all associated data from our backend, including your profile and @handle, goals, cycles, lock-in sessions, statistics, friendships, and squad memberships. This action cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not delete the App’s data stored locally on your device; to remove that, use “Wipe all data” in Settings or delete the App. If you are unable to use the in-App flow, you can also email us at the address below to request deletion.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Dialed is operated from the United States, and our service providers process data primarily in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. by us and by the providers named above under their respective policies.
On-device data is retained until you delete the App or clear it in Settings. Account data is retained for as long as your account exists and is deleted when you delete your account. Subscription records held by Apple and Superwall are retained according to their policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.
